Rolls-Royce Marine Poland (office in Kraków) is looking for an experienced and talented candidates responsible for producing design solutions in response to project requirements and developing and implementing tools and methods for the design community.

•To understand customer needs and derive project requirements at task level
•To produce optimal design solutions to address specified requirements
•To collaborate and communicate design solution information with task stakeholders
•To self-check design solutions for completeness and correctness prior to formal review
•To manage work in accordance with project cost, timescale, and quality targets
•To operate as a designer in a project team in New Product Introduction and In-service phases of a product
•To participate in analytical verification activities
•To undertake the detail design activity for the design of a component or sub assembly.
•To produce accurate electronic models and technical drawings to capture the design intent
•To apply manufacturing tolerances to the definition so that the component attributes of fit, form and functions are met
Qualifications and experience:
•A degree preferably in a field related to Manufacturing Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing)
•3 years work experience in a mechanical design
•Understanding of engineering principles - mechanical engineering, manufacturing methods and their limitations
•Knowledge of NX CAD (or other 3D CAD experience) / Product Lifecycle Management -
3D modelling and model expert
•Experience with producing 2D technical drawings in support of product realization
•Capable of undertaking the detail design activity
•Capable of completing tolerance stack checks
•Knowledge of steel / ferrous casting & forging materials
•Knowledge of other materials (eg. plastics, alloys, etc.) desirable
•System and Component Simulation (static and dynamic) experience highly desirable
•Awareness of marine/automotive/machinery products and quality requirements
•Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation
•Resolve technical problems
•Flexibility to operate in a changing manufacturing environment
•Ability to work both individually and as a member of a multi-skilled team
•Excellent written and spoken English
